Abducted traditional ruler in Plateau State, Charles Mato Dakat, has regained his freedom.
The traditional Chief in Gindiri chiefdom, Mangu Local Government Area, of Plateau, was abducted during the invasion of his palace five days ago at midnight.
According to reports, the Kidnappers demanded the sum of N500m from his family a day later as ransom before his release.
However, it was gathered that the traditional ruler eventually regained his freedom in the early hours of Friday .
According to Punch Newspaper, a family source confirmed Dakat’s release in Jos on Friday.
In the family’s Statement, “God has answered our prayers. His Royal Highness, Da Charles Mato Dakat, has been released. He is in good condition of health.
The police is yet to issue a statement on this at the time of filing this report.
