Ahead of the forthcoming party primaries across Nigeria , Group under umbrella of Kaduna Political and Development Forum (KPDF) has urged members of the main opposition party ,the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna to give the Governor ticket to Senator Shehu Sani.
According to the group, from the results of research conducted across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State within the last 30 days, the opinion polls favoured the former lawmaker ,who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Senate.
In a statement jointly signed by the State Coordinator , Mal Addullahi Garba and Secretary, Mr. Solomon Balat , the research also revealed that Kaduna State needs a vibrant and visionary leader, who can boldly speak and stand for them any time and any day they are distressed.
While urging the Party leaders, especially delegates to carefully consider a candidate that is not only popular ,but has the capacity to provide security for lives and properties, the Forum stressed,” We strongly believe that PDP can rescue Kaduna, but has to present a candidate that can defeat the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC).
He speaks further: “From what we gathered from the field ,it is obvious that PDP need little efforts to convince electorate to vote the party because they are tired of the unabated attacks and killings of innocent citizens .
“They are sick and tired of the inability of the APC led government in the State to provide security in the face of senseless banditry attacks .
“Governance is not only about infrastructural development, but inclusive policies that are capable of creating employment; encourage agriculture growth, industrial development and other factors that would help make life meaning for the citizenry.
“And all these qualities are overtly found in Senator Shehu Sani ,who has repeatedly demonstrated his passion to defend the masses even at the expense of his life.
