National Association of persons with disabilities, Kaduna State Chapter, has endorsed Honourable Lois Auta for Kaduna State House of Assembly seat, in Kaura Constituency, in the forth coming general Elections in 2023.
The President, NAPWDs, Kaduna State Chapter, Comrade Rilwan Mohammed Abdulahi, made this known while briefing Journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday.
Comrade Rilwan who applauded the the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) said the party has given them the opportunity for an inclusive and equal representative, haven deemed it fit that persons with disabilities should also contest for a Political Office.
In his remarks, he noted that the aspiration of Hon. Lois Auta will bring sanity to the electoral process, urged both the government and the good people of Kaduna State to ensure they give her every necessary support for her emergence in the forth coming Party primaries and by extension the general election, come 2023.
Reacting to the endorsement, Hon. Lois appreciated the love, kind gesture and Unity of purpose demonstrated by the union, expressed that the meeting was planned without her notice until the die minute.
In her word “I am humbled because this is entirely the initiative of the leadership of NAPWDs, Kaduna State Chapter. The invitation for this Press conference was extended to me only yesterday evening, prior to that, I was never informed. I had no idea of such plans.
“For NAPWDs to go this far in support of my Political aspirations, to push for my candidacy, speaks volume. It means persons with Disabilities have come of age. It means the Political participations of PWDs cannot be dismissed with a wave of hands.
“It also speaks volume of their Individual’s and several endorsement of my person as a worthy representative of not only people of Kaura Constituency of southern Kaduna but also a worthy representative of of the entire disabled Community, world over. I am deeply honoured in our office today and I will never take this honour for granted. She stated.
