http://www.newsportng.com.ng The aspirant, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Kaura Constituency, Honourable Lois Auta said the ruling All Progressive Congress APC is the the most disabled party friendly in Nigeria.
Lois Auta made this known to Journalists on Wednesday during a press conference held by the National Association of Persons with Disabilities (NAPWDs) held at the Rehabilitation board, Kigo road in Kaduna.
According to her, the inclusive nature of the party has given many especially disables to have equal rights and voice like other people in the community.
In her statement, she said “I want to seize this golden opportunity to acknowledge and with profound appreciation the inclusive nature of our great party, the APC.
“APC is the most disabled Party friendly in the history of Nigeria and by implication, the entire black race. The first Political Party in Nigeria to integrate Persons with Disabilities into every cadre of leadership structure in power and decision making process.
“I consider it pertinent to pay glowing tribute to this APC led Federal Government, headed by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. With the Disability act of 2018, they have formally adopted us PWDs, into the society as equal citizens and equal rights and priviledges and today with the Disability commission, we have a voice that resonates just as loud as that of any other citizen in our society. She said.
Lois Auta who was an aspirant in the 2019 General Elections for the AMAC/ Bwari Federal Constituency in FCT, Abuja under the Accord Party, said her people decided to bring her back to Kaduna so as to represent them with her good leadership prowess and with her wealth of experiences gathered over the years.
The 42-year old woman further stated that the aspiration is not just about her but for the betterment of the good people of Kaduna State, Kaura Constituency and the entire Community of PWDs.
“It may be a Lois Auta’s aspiration but it is about equal, quality and and universal acceptable leadership standard to be brought into the representation of Kaura people, the people of Kaduna State and the entire Community of Persons with Disabilities, PWDs. She added.
