http://www.newsportng.com.ng As the polity continues to heat up in Kaduna State, one of the leading Aspirants for Kaduna Central Senate, Hajiya Rabi Salisu Ibrahim, said the State’s Governor, Mallam Nasir El-rufai is yet to endorse any candidate for the race.
Hajiya Rabi, made this known to Journalists in Kaduna on Monday, while Fielding questions from Journalists.
In her response, she disclosed that there were two leading candidates for Kaduna Guber race who are working directly under the State Government but the governor later endorsed one for the number one seat meanwhile, the other was asked to go and ‘look’ for Senate.
She said “The Governor has not endorsed anyone on the aspiration of senatorial especially in Kaduna.
“There were two prominent candidates in Kaduna for the governor which are working within the Government, including others who are not in government. so the governor settled and said to the two Aspirants that are working directly under him , that one should go for Governor that is senator Uba Sani and one should go and look for senatorial seat. He endorsed the governor but he said to the other one to go and pick the form and go for the race, if you said endorsement, I have bought my form 11 days before that incidence happened.
“I have always been contesting even before any of them are contesting and I am the first person in the whole of the state that have purchased my form and even though they told us that we have not purchased but they gave us the nomination of interest form which is in millions of naira , but I purchased my form before them and I have done several consultations within the party.
Hajiya Rabi also stressed that her aspiration is not for personal gain but to help look into some of the things bothering the rural Communities in her Constituency.
“There are agendas that I have at heart. As you all know, I have been doing it myself I want to talk and speak on behalf of women of Nigeria not only my zone , I want to talk for people living with disabilities which people do not consider them in so many ways , I want to talk about people who cannot speak out especially children , women, youths , people with Disabilities, because I have always done something good in that area but because am not part of the government I cannot do those things I have in mind.
“I will bring out bills that are going to affect the rural people, which are always left behind. So many things have happened in the urban areas so I want to focus on the rural areas.
“I want to include women in agriculture. I want to include them in other business that can help them sustain themselves and also the problem of rape that has engulfed our society most of these women takes care of their children but do not have sustainability because of that, they sent their children to hawk and nobody is talking about them because they are children of the poor.
“So I want to go there and represent the good people of Kaduna Central, because I have the terim, I have been to the grassroot. Am going to sponsor bill that will touch the lives of people directly not bill that will enriched me I will look for the bill that will enable me sit with the Youths, women, children including religious leaders to ask them directly what they want
“Lastly, where am going to represent is engulfed by insecurity challenges thank God am a peace ambassador. I have master in peace and conflict resolution. I have more ideas about conflict and how am going to tackle conflict
“Am not going to sponsor bill that lawyers will write for me. I have been to the grassroot, I have been to The domain of the I have the knowledge to write and seek for a redress on people that are being hunt everyday. She added
