The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the 9th Assembly, Distinguished Senator Uba Sani, has been declared winner of the just concluded primary Election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
Uba Sani defeated two other aspirants in the contest to emerge victoriously.
The Senator, who polled 1,149 votes beats Bashir Abubakar who scored 37 votes to come second and Sani Shaaban got ten votes to come third position.
The Returning Officer, Mr. Anachuna Henry, announced the results at around 2:30am, noted that Senator Uba Sani haven scored the highest of the total votes cast, won the election as flag bearer of the ruling APC.
He said,”a total of 1,245 delegates were accredited, total votes cast stood at 1,235, total valid votes, 1,196 while invalid votes were 39.
Uba Sani who responded to the victory, commends party’s delegates for the confidence reposed on him and promised to reach out to other aspirants for their support to ensure victory of the party at the general elections, come 2023.
The lawmaker also promised to build on the legacies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and foster unity among the people of Kaduna State.
