http://www.newsportng.com.ng Hope Builders Foundation for Entrepreneurial Education, has appealed to Kaduna State Government to invest more in social entrepreneurship projects so as to be able to reduce the level of unemployment rate in the State.
The CEO, Hope Builders Foundation, Dr. Mathias B. Yashim in Kaduna, made the plea on thursday during a workshop program organized for enterprenuers in Barnawa, said the need for skills in contemporary society, can never be overemphasized
According to him, there are lots of young people who are thinking of what to do but do not know what to do, urged the government to partner entrepreneurs who can assist them live the life of their dreams.
He said there is need to identify those NGOs like Hope Builders Foundation entrepreneurial education and partner with them to fashion out where to send grants rather than giving interventions to those who lack the ability to utilize them.
The Entrepreneur said, “I want to urge the government to think community and societal well being. When this is done, everybody will sleep well.
“They should invest more in interprises so that they can stand on their own. There are lots of social enterprises that are there.
“Government should put them together, have an agency for social enterprise in this state because there are lots of young people out there who are thinking of what to do but they do not know what to do. There are grants that comes in and people are given different interventions. Government need to partner with social entreprenuers to be able to fashion out where to send what intervention so we nurture it and see it growing.
“By the time you empower these entrepreneurs with skills, then you are empowering the community with knowledge, resources and then you get them moving. He added
