http://www.newsportng.com.ng Grassrot politician and Aspirant for Member, Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Honourable Ekene Adams Abubukar, said the need to upgrade Public Schools in the Constituency, can never be overemphasized.
Ekene on Monday disclosed this in an interaction with newsmen in Kaduna, said “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change our World.”
Speaking further, he expressed that the narrative where children of the poor are left to their fate without any dividend of democracy is an abuse of humanity, noted that his administration will give everybody the sense of belonging especially the children of nobody and the less Privileged to explore in their various fields of endeavours.
The philanthropist, also disclosed that relevant materials needed for students including an equipped modern libraries, toilet facilities, Pipe Borne Water, and up-to-date Science laboratory technology, among other equipments will come across the Constituency so that the students can be able to compete with their contemporaries in the nearest future.
“There is every need to upgrade our public schools in the Constituency. When you look at some of these schools, you will know what am talking about.
“Public schools are not given proper attention because it is for the children of nobody. Education is a right of every citizen, hence the need for representatives to give them necessary attention. But in my Constituency, reverse is the case.
“When you look into my seven points agenda, Education is one of them. By God’s grace, if elected into office I will ensure that all the schools in Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency are upgraded to modern facilities so that we can be able to graduate best brains in Kaduna and the country at large. Ekene said.
He further lamented over the rate at which students in public schools are becoming hostile, warned that if the students are not given the proper orientation and the enabling environment for their studies, the outcome will be very disastrous, even as Children’s behavior is directly proportional to the kind of environment they found themselves.
He urged parents, youths and every well meaning Nigerian to take their destiny into their own hands and vote for the Labour Party in the forth coming General Elections for a prosperous Chikun/Kajuru and Nigeria at large.
