Sardaunan Badarawa in a press statement saluted Muslim faithful for witnessing yet another cycle of the Eid festival, describing it as a period of sincere devotion and commitment to the worship of Allah as symbolized by Prophet Ibrahim.
He called for deep retrospection by Muslims in the ability of Allah to solve all human challenges, particularly life-threatening ones such as the rising insecurity he noted faced in Nigeria.
” This year’s Sallah is apt, coming at a period our dear country is facing one of the biggest challenges in history which calls for sustained prayers from all to seek Allah’s intervention in our affairs.
” We are all aware of the overwhelming insecurity the country is confronted with, ranging from insurgency, banditry and agitations for secession.
” Allah in His infinite mercies has enjoined us to call on Him in supplication, bearing in minds of His ability to answer prayers of anyone in distress.
” Indeed the country is in distress today as We are faced with barrage of problems beyond our capacities to overcome.
” I enjoin all muslims across the country to use the auspicious occasion provided by this season to seek the face of Allah in our affairs because only the intervention of our Creator can change the pathetic situation We find ourselves today, ” Sardaunan Bardarawa, submitted.
Sardaunan Badarawa who was People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna Central Senatorial aspirant and Candidate hopefully pointed out that development could only be achievable in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, which he noted underscored the imperative of praying for a secure country.
