This was contained in a press statement jointly signed and issued to newsmen in kaduna by the State’s Secretary, Labour Party, Mr. John Dominic Buayin, Deputy state chairman, Group Capt. Peter Haruna. Rtd, Youth Leader, Comrade Austin Aniagu and other state’s executives, on Monday.
According to the statement, the party excos accused Mr. Peter Hassan of dictatorship, victimization, corruption and harrassment of local governments chairmen.
The state excos also accused him of abscording with delegates money during the convention and also creating a faction which is detrimental to the growth of labour party in kaduna state.
“The excos, Labour Party Kaduna State Chapter, met during the weekend to look into some of the issues bordering the party and to find a lasting solution that will help us get it right in kaduna and the country at large.
“The meeting had in attendance 90% of the state executives to strategize the ways forward for the overall interest of the party in kaduna state, especially now that the 2023 general election is at hand.

“During the meeting, the state’s working committee expressed dismayed over the conduct of Mr. Peter Hassan, who was nominated to wear the shoe as the State’s Chairman of Labour Party Kaduna State.
“The state’s excos also accused the National excos of interfering with the affairs of the state and imposing Peter Hassan on the people.
The excos also expressed disappointment over Mr. Peter’s inability to carry everybody along since he emerged as the Chairman of the party, accuse him of hijacking the party alone and thereby sideling almost all the excos.
“The party excos also accused him of dictatorship, victimization, corruption and harrassment of local governments chairmen.
“The state excos also accused him of abscording with delegates money during the convention and also creating a faction which is detrimental to the growth of labour party at this critical time.
The act according to the state’s party left them with no option than to take the following resolutions.
“That Labour Party Kaduna State Executive Committee, passed a vote of no confidence on the nominated Chairman, Mr. Peter Hassan, haven failed to answer the questions on the allegations, levelled against him in the meeting.
“All the Local Government Chairmen and the state excos further signed for the suspension of Mr. Peter Hassan and also adopted the former excos recognize by INEC till when a new congress will be conducted in a short period.
“The chairman of the party that is recognized by INEC mallam Dahiru Bako, urge party faithfuls to be strong in the movement that labour party is almost winning the general elections. He said that he will be ready to step down for a better person that will be more better than the former imposed chairman Peter Hassan.”
The state excos also threatens court action if the national body of labour party want to forcefully remove them or impose back Peter Hassan, who they accused never participated in a valid congress, adding that his leadership in kaduna state may cost the chances of Peter Obi in the forthcoming 2023 general elections
