http://www.newsportng.com.ng The National Chairman, Labour Party, Hon. Julius Abure, has called on Nigerians to remain resolute in their quest for good governance.
Hon. Julius made the call on Thursday, during the Northwest one day program with National officers, held in kaduna, said Nigerians remain their only structure for success in the forth coming 2023 presidential election.
The Chairman, who was represented by the National Secretary, Alhaji Umar farouq, said the program is aimed to to mobilise more Supporters to ensure they go to the poll against all odds for the success of Labour Party and the Obi/Datti project.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Kaduna state chapter, Comrade Ayuba Suleiman, said the emergence of Peter Obi as the presidential flag bearer of Labour Party has given Nigerians hope for better tomorrow.
Comrade Ayuba, noted that although the NLC is not partisan but the trade Union will stand behind the project for their struggle in a quest for new Nigeria.
“We are overwhelmed. The Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC) registered Labour Party in the law. By implications, it is our party. Although we are not partisan, meanwhile, It’s the same platform we will use for our Political struggle in Nigeria.
“One person who came to party has sent strong message and people in Politics for over 30 years are now jittering, which everyone should ask what is going on, because they only acquired wealth for themselves but does not have the mind to touch lives like Peter Obi.
He also called on the leadership of the party to ensure they have reliable Leadership who can pioneer the affairs of the party in all honesty and sincerity, adding that the trade Union has received a written document from Labour Party, Kaduna and have set up a political committee to Champion the resolution process.
Comrade Sani Saeed Altukry, who is the Chairman, Obi/Datti Support Group, also expressed satisfaction over the turnout of Supporters at the event, said “Peter Obi is a sellable product.
“He is the only one who can be able to deliver us from political slavery and the challenges poised on us by poor representation all these while. I have been going from one state to the other and I must tell you that the movement is gaining momentum on daily basis and am highly optimistic that we are going to win.” He added.
