http://www.newsportng.com.ng The General Secretary, Evangelical Church Winning All, (ECWA) and CEO Christain Solidarity Worldwide, (CSW) Rev. (Dr) Yunusa Nmadu Jnr, has faulted Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-rufai, following his leaked memo that terriorists have formed a parallel government in kaduna State, as admittance of failure.
Rev. Yunusa made this known, during an interaction with newsmen in Kaduna, said Governor El-rufai’s admittance to provide security for the people of kaduna state is coming too late.
It could be recalled that the Kaduna State Governor, in a leaked memo to president Muhammadu Buhari, last week revealed the extent of terrorists’ entrenchment in his state, saying they have managed to set up their own government structures and are exercising control over some areas of the state.
El-rufai in the leaked memo also warns of the terrorists’ advanced plans to create a permanent operational base for the North-west region as they continue to consolidate their grip on different Communities.
Reacting to the claim by Governor El-rufai, Rev. Yunusa revealed that the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) has raised alarm several times, where they said terriorists were putting up their own governing structures, but the government dismissed the claim.
He noted that the statement of Governor El-rufai clearly showed that the government has completely ran out of ideas on how to secure the lives and properties of the citizens, adding that as missionaries, “We have been singing it. The Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) has been saying it, some of us have been saying it but they tried to counteract what we said that we have two governments in some of the Northern States. – Parallel Government
“For instance in Niger and some other places. We traveled there, our church is all over the country and there are places where today the bandits take task and you must give the tax if you want your wife to be protected from rape: if you want your children not to be taken. These are realities. These are not tale by the moon light. We have seen the people, some of them are members of our churches they cannot go to their farm unless they pay money to the bandit so that they won’t attack them.” He said.
The Cleric further lamented over what he termed as the backwardness on the part of Nigeria, stressed that the country have gone back to the primitive society, where criminals are compensated with one title or the other so as to avoid being attacked.
He said: “It happened in Zamfara of recent that one of the kingpin was given a traditional tittle. The Paramount ruler simply said if that is going to help our people why not, so that they do not attack us. This is how they use to do during the time of Arm Robbers, when an Arm robber lives in your Community in the 70s, and 80s. When an Arm Robber lives in a Community, that Community is protected because he will tell all his boys not to attack that Community. So right now that is the tactics they are using.
“So we have two government in most of the northern States and it’s an admittance of total failure on the part of the government. Coming back to what I said before, that this People has ran out of idea completely.” He added. – parallel Government
