http://www.newsportng.com.ng Kaduna state Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Redemption Party, Hayatudeen Makarfi Lawal, has said that he will sustain Late Balarabe Musa’s legacy if elected Governor in the forthcoming general election.
Hayatudeen disclosed this during the Media Parley held in Kaduna on thursday, a program organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kaduna state Council, to interact with politicians seeking power into various offices in 2023.
Balarabe Musa who died in November 2020, was a Nigerian left-wing politician who was elected Governor of Kaduna State under the platform of PRP, between October 1979 until he was impeached on 23 June 1981.
Among his legacies are the Kaduna textile industry, sustainable power supply, selfless service, and always known speaking to power in the area of corrupt practices.
Hayatudeen who who also unfolded his 3-point agenda said his administration will focus on economic revival, social justice and human capital development like the late Governor, adding that he knows the challenges confronting the state and will remain committed to address them if elected.
According to Makarfi, the industrialization of late Balarabe Musa led administration will be effected in full force, stressing that he will create jobs from the lowest in the society, and invest heavily in people who are creative so that they can create the wealth needed for their survival.
He further reiterated that he will turn Kaduna from a consuming to a productive nation, noting that he will take advantage of the ongoing crisis in Europe and bring down those companies who are interested in partnership, citing cheap labour as his area of strength to achieve the promise.
Hayatudeen also stated that “What we stand for is to unite Kaduna state in a long run. We want to form a unity government where everybody will feel a sense of belonging.
He urged the media to deploy their ethics in their reportage and educate the citizens on the need to choose the right candidate and the consequences of wrong selection as negative effects will affect everyone not a selected few.
