http://www.newsportng.com.ng Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) Kaduna state chapter has said that Nigeria and her people need divine intervention to overcome present challenges.
The CAN chairman, Kaduna state, Rev. John Joseph Hayab made this known on Sunday, during the Christmas carol held in Kaduna, on the theme: “The Savior is born.”
He said like Mary found favour before God, help is on the way for the good people of Kaduna state and the nation at large, urged Christians to embrace the joy that accompanies the season of Christmas and celebrate with one another in sacrifices and love.
He said, “Nigeria’s problem today needs divine intervention and God is willing to do something and we believe He is going to do it. At Christmas, Mary found favour with God. So our message this Christmas is that God is going to show Nigeria favour. We have suffered, we have been in pain, we have been crying but Favour is coming our way in 2023.
“Despite the hardship, despite the cost of living, the spirit of Christmas demands that we love and share with one another. People must not fail to share with one another. Let us always remember that in our community we are not all thesame. There are people who are not as strong and privilege like others.
“There people who can assist others. If there is any time to show love is this Christmas because when others are crying that they cannot afford this or that, appear to them like angel to Mary and tell them, favour has come your way, you are not going to cry or lack, you will not do the Christmas hungry. This is the spirit we want to see happening. God is showing us favour and we too should show others favour.
“We are equally telling Nigerians out there that when favour comes, it is not because you merit it nor because you are capable or powerful. Nigerians have suffered and God is about to favour them. The night Mary went to sleep, she did not know God was going to visit her. But The angel appeared and told her that she has found favour.
“The Bible says she was even afraid when the angel visited her. So i want to tell Nigerians that they should not be afraid when they hear that God is about to favour them. I think we have lamented enough we are looking up to heaven for favour this Christmas and as we enter the new year.” He said.
The Cleric further stressed that the Christian body is looking up to God in the forthcoming general election to take away their pain and give them good leadership that has the capability to change Nigeria’s story.
He said, “We are looking up to heaven for favour in 2023 that God should favour us and take away this pain, give us good leadership and change the story of our land.
“That is what we want and that is what we have come to celebrate. We have a lot of things to complain but we say look, let us keep aside the complain and ask God to favour us as you favour Mary so that there will be a change in our situation.” He added.
God is always with us but we rejected GOD bless, Authority in our life. So we Christian and our Leader Let join hànd and do the needful, by speaking in One voices, and vote right Leaders among the all politicians. Thank you God bless you our CAN Chairman.
