http://www.newsportng.com.ng Kaduna state police command has vowed that security agencies in the state will bring all culprits involved in the fresh southern Kaduna killings to book in full accordance to the rule of law.
The Police Public Relation Officer, (PPRO) Kaduna Command, DSP Muhammad Jalige made this known in a phone conversation with Journalists in Kaduna on Sunday, said it was true that the gunmen attacked the Southern Kaduna Community in early hours of Sunday morning.
Although Jalige did not give actual figure on casualty as he said security personnels are combing bushes in the area in search of dead bodies, an operation he assured the public will be successful.
However, there were several reports on social media that Zango-Kataf, a community in southern Kaduna was attacked on Sunday morning, leaving at least 10 residents of the area dead, while others sustained several degrees of injuries.
The PPRO stressed that “the security forces are on top of the situation to ensure things do not get out of hand.
He said ” from the briefing i received from the Area Commander, trouble started a couple of days ago, when a boy rearing cattle was murdered. We have been trying to manage the situation while investigating the sad occurrence before trouble broke out.”
“A joint security team will be combing the bushes in the area Sunday afternoon to search for bodies, if therev is any.asThey will also apprehend the suspects responsible for the killings.”
“We are on top of the situation and all the hoodlums responsible would be rounded up.”
“But for the timely intervention of joint security personnel coordinated by the Area Commander, the terrorists would have had a field day.”
“Repelling the hoodlums was a tedious task for our security agencies, but they were successful as the terrorists scampered away from the scene.”
