http://www.newsportng.com.ng Intellect-ual Youths Coalition of Nigeria, under the umbrella of Arewa HIV and Team Bayero, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC over the just concluded gubernatorial election held in Kaduna state and other 27 states of the federation.
The Youth’s coalition gave the commendation during a press conference held in Kaduna on Saturday, said they are satisfied with the way and manner INEC and the good people of Kaduna state conducted themselves peacefully during and after the election.
The Coordinator, Arewa Hive, Comrade Isah Abdulrahman in conjunction with Team Bayero Leader expressed that the process has given them confidence that INEC will deliver the best poll where every Nigerian will be proud of the credibility of the electoral umpire.
Isah further noted that whatever the outcome of the election is, it will be to the advantage of majority populace who took their time and patience to come out en masse and then to exercise their civic responsibility.
He equally maintained that the improvement upon the electoral process has given Nigerians hope that in the nearest future, Nigeria will compete with other nations of the world in delivering the mandate of people as an aftermath of every election.
While calling on political parties to desist from uttering any form of comments capable of throwing the nation into chaos, he reiterated that power comes from God and as such politicians must bear the interest of the society they seeks to govern against personal interests.
The group urged Kaduna residents and Nigerians at large embrace the spirit of brotherhood even as there is life after the electioneering period.
