http://www.newsportng.com.ng The Member-elect, Chikun/Kajuru Federal House of Representative, Kaduna Honourable Ekene Abubukar Adams, has called on Muslim Faithfuls in his constituent to use this year’s Eid-el-fitr celebration to offer prayers for better Nigeria.
Ekene in a statement personally signed and made available to Journalists in Kaduna on Friday, urged Muslim Faithfuls to imbibe the culture of sacrifice as examplified in the life of the Holy Prophet, Mohammed.
While congratulating Muslims around the world for God’s mercies for witnessing another cycle of the Eid festival, Ekene, describe the season as a period of sincere devotion and commitment to the worship of Alla’h.
He reiterated that the unity of Nigeria depends on how the people unanimously managed their differences and therefore urged them to use the period as a season of sober reflection and offer prayers to God for better Nigeria.
He said, “Onbehalf of myself and my family, I want to say a very big congratulations to all our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of this special Eid-el-fitr celebration.
“This year’s Sallah is apt, considering the manner in which our nation is divided across both religious, ethnicity and other differences. These calls for sustained prayers from all to seek Allah’s intervention in our affairs.
“If There is a man to pray, there is always a God to answer. Allah in His infinite mercies has enjoined us to call on Him in supplication, bearing in minds of His ability to answer prayers of anyone in distress, therefore we should not loose hope in the place of praying for this great nation. He said.
