http://www.newsportng.com.ng Global Peace Foundation Nigeria (GPFN) has joined Peace builders around the world in Delhi, India to sign peace agreement in pursuance of relative peace across the globe.
The event, held on 11-13th April, 2023 at the popular Le Meridien and Royal plaza Hotels, New Delhi India, on the theme, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Vision for Advancing Human Consciousness and Peace, was aimed to promote relative peace as panacea for sustainable growth in all continents of the World.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after the event, the Country Director (GPFN) Rev. John Joseph Hayab, said the event models on the One Family under God campaign to mitigate violent conflict, where everyone will live together as an indivisible family regardless of their religion, tribe and color.
Hayab noted that peace remains the universal cravings of every mankind, adding that where there is harmony, development thrives without stress.
He added that several lessons were learned from the event especially in the area of human development, such as Youth’s involvement in the building process of any Nation, reiterating that any country that neglects her youth in it’s affair is doomed.
Sharing other important lessons learned, the Country Director reiterated that the need to Value education as key to solving most global problems, is key in the 21st century and therefore every human being who desired to enjoy peace must build his or herself, love and provide services to others.
In his remarks, the President, Global Peace Foundation, (GPF) Mr. James P. Flynn, solicited on the need for bold and collaborative efforts that transcends artificial boundaries as they strive towards a future that lies beyond them.
He urged all participants to think beyond themselves and look at the future, thereafter focus their attention towards necessary steps that will make the world trade on the path of peace, during and after them.
In the same vein, the Chairman, Global Peace Foundation, India Dr. Markanday Rai, said Youth involvement, value education, values-base Peace building and environmental conservations are four ingredients that has the ability to advance human consciousness and peace.
Rai, stressed that the goal of the Youth Empowerment track was to improve youths’ approach to solving problems, how to think from a global perspective, and become moral and innovative leaders.
He said that the identified approach will help them to rethink, redefine, and transform, while the second track, Transforming Education for the Future will give them edge to analyzed new trends, ideas, and policies to prepare students in other for them to become successful in all aspects of their lives and contribute to overall peace needed in their respective domain.
