Excellence: Makarfi is NLA Man of the Year

http://www.newsportng.com.ng Former Governor of Kaduna state, Ahmed Muhammed Makarfi has emerged as the Nigerian Leadership Man of the year, 2023 edition.

The award was confer on Makarfi by Privileged Magazine and Communications Nigeria Limited in Kaduna on Saturday, during her 12th NLA Awards held in Kaduna state.

Governor-elect, Kaduna state Senator Uba Sani alongside the House of Representatives Member-elect for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams, Kaduna state gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Hon. Isah Ashiru Kudan, among others were also part of those that bags the prestigious award.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) Privileged Magazine and Communications Nigeria Limited, Hon. Victor Matthew Bobai, said the award aims to encourage Leaders who has contributed their quota to both human and national development.

Bobai said that the awardees were carefully selected based on their track records from their various areas of specialisation after which an online voting was conducted and winners emerged.

He stressed that the firm discovered that the achievers have been doing a lot of things unnoticed and that trigger them to bring them to the notice of the public so that their efforts can be widely celebrated.

The CEO urged the awardees not to relent in their quest to make the society and the world around them a better place but to do more in ensuring that the living conditions of people within their reach is affected positively, even as the saying goes that “to whom much is given, much is expected.”

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Governor Makarfi said he is delighted to emerged NLA Man of the year.

Makarfi who was represented by Comrade Faisal Ahmed, said the Former Governor cherish the award because this is the only way that those who made deliable marks can be recognized.

While appreciating the leadership of Privileged Magazine and Communications Nigeria Limited, Ahmed maintained that everybody was heavily represented in the award from their respective areas of expertise regardless of tribe, religion and other differences.

He urged the firm to sustain the tempo by celebrating Men and women of repute who has or still contributing to the growth and development of their society.
