http://www.newsportng.com.ng The People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) had said that it will not accept the resignation letter tendered by Hon. Samaila Suleiman, member House of Representatives, Kaduna North.
Recalled that Hon. Suleiman tendered his resignation to his Ward Chairman, Nasiru Abubakar on the 28th of May, 2023 haven lost out of the just concluded general elections on the platform of PDP.
Samaila Suleiman was elected Rep Member for Kaduna North Federal Constituency, under the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) before joining the PDP to contest for the second term in 2023 general elections.
In a letter issued by PDP Ward Chairman, Nasiru Abubakar, said Samaila have questions to answer regarding a total sum of 126,000,000.00 and 113,000, 000. 00 meant for Presidential and governorship election.
According to Nasiru in a statement copied the State Party Chairman, Zonal Party Chairman and Local Government Party Chairman, said until the critical allegations are resolved, Samaila’s resignation remain null and void.
He said, “Pursuant to your letter dated 28th May, 2023 titled above. We hereby notify you that your resignation has not been accepted by the Party pending the resolution of the following at the Unguwan Sarki Ward.
“Your formal appearance to give full account before the Ward Disciplinary Committee of the Ward, to clear allegations of misappropriation of N126,000, 000.00 and N113,000,000.00 Million Naira for the 2023 Governorship Election and Presidential Election.
“Until these crucial allegations are resolved your resignation from the Party is put in abeyance subject to further actions, (Legal, otherwise) the party may deem fit to take in the circumstance.”
