http://www.newsportng.com.ng Group, Credible candidates, (C²) has endorsed the immediate past Governor of Kano state, Abdulahi Umar Ganduje for the position of national chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) following the resignation of Senator Abdulahi Adamu.
The Grand Patron of Credible candidates, Hon. Dr. Danburam Abubakar Nuhu, made the endorsement alongside other executives of the forum on Tuesday, said Ganduje has all it takes to take the party to its desired destination considering his past and unrelenting sacrifices for the party.
Dr. Abubakar, who was Former APC Member House of Representatives, Kano Municipal, said Ganduje’s track record as Deputy and two term governor of Kano state is equal to none and should be given every necessary support as a national asset to drive the affairs of the party.
He said, “we took the decision because Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who was a two-term governor of Kano State, has contributed to the building of the party as a Chieftain before and during the 2023 general elections.
“Dr Ganduje toured almost all the states of the federation, which saw the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of Nigeria and therefore we cannot shy away from the fact that he is most qualified for the job.” He said.
In the same vein, the national coordinator, Credible Candidates, Jamilu Auwalu Adamu, said competence must be considered in the new leadership structure for the sake of optimal performance at all levels.
Jamilu noted that the record of Ganduje’s transformation as two terms governor of Kano state is evident for all to see, adding that the APC Chieftain has turned Kano to one of the largest economic hub not only in Nigeria but in Africa at large.
He urged all relevant stakeholders within the party to adopt Ganduje as it’s next chairman both for idea generation and on the ground of his wealth of experiences.
