Benevolence: Kaduna Women Hails Lawmaker, Ekene Describes Him As ‘Blessing’

http://www.newsportng.com.ng Women in Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna state has expressed gratitude to God for giving them Lawmaker that understands their plights and with commitments to make life better for them in the constituency.
The over 200 Gbagil Villa women on Monday during interaction with the Honourable Member representing Chikun Kajuru Federal Constituency, Kaduna and Nigerians describe the Lawmaker as a brother, son and a blessing not just to them but Nigerians at large, following his act of benevolence shown them, overtime.
The Hon. Member, had met with the Gbagyi Villa women on Monday, at his residence to chat ways forward so as to know their concerns and how to make life easier for them especially the less privileged.
During the discussion, some of the women who spoke at the meeting, told the Honourable Member that they needed to be empower, while some of them stated that they were not good in entrepreneurship, hence the need for him to provide them with jobs.
Ekene who said “charity begins at home” disclosed that he has registered a cooperative society with an organization to get the women empowered, adding that he remains commitment towards ensuring that his people gets the dividends of democracy at all costs during his tenure as House of Representatives Member.
He reiterated that even those who are not good in business will still need to be empowered in one way or the other, urged those with qualifications to dust their curriculum vitae, (CV) and present it to the appropriate channel for his assistance. He also dolled out cash and refreshment to the attendees and urged them to remain good ambassadors in their respective homes and the community at large.
Mrs Murna Tanko, one of the beneficiaries who spoke to newsmen shortly after the meeting, said she was impressed with Ekene’s gesture, adding that it was her first time of seeing an elected political office holder closely.
She said, “I am highly impressed i must confess. This is the first time i’m seeing a political office holder closely. Most of them, the moment they win, you won’t see them again. This man is Godsent. May God bless him abundantly.”
Another beneficiary, Madam Felicia Ola, who described Ekene as a helper, said he has been helping his neighbours before he became a political office holder.
“Ekene is my neighbor. He has been helping us before he became a House of Representatives Member. We are blessed to have him in Gbagyi Villa. We pray that the almighty will continue to bless him, because it’s not easy to gather people like this and share money to them. We pray that God will continue to bless him so that he will as well continue the good work that he has been doing.”
