Breaking: SWAN President, Isaiah Loses Father
http://www.newsportng.com.ng The National President of the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Isaiah Kemje Benjamin, has lost his father at the early hours of today, Monday 25th September, 2023.
The Media Aide to SWAN President, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made this known in a press statement made available to Journalists on Monday, said Pa Isaiah Boyi Isreal, died in Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State at 92 years.
Onjewu said SWAN President is currently on national assignment to the National Youth Games (NYG) in Asaba, Delta State, before the sad news, disclosed that the burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
He explained that arrangements have been made to convey his remains to a mortuary.
Among those who paid early condolences to him in Asaba, are Kaduna SWAN Chairman, Shehu Abdullahi, FCT Chairman, Ndubueze Chidoka, North West Vice President, Mohammed Mansour Ibrahim, Financial Secretary, Ijeoma Peter Nwante, Welfare Secretary, Austin Ajayi, Kwara State Secretary, Dare Kuti and SWAN members from Kaduna State, Albert Solomon and Bashir Bello Dollars.
Also spotted at the condolence visit, was SWAN Vice President South East, Frankie Omokhua and the Secretary General of the association, Ikenna V. Okonkwo.
Pa ISAIAH passed on at the age of 92 in Lando Bassa local government of Kogi State.
He is survived by his wife, seven children, brothers, sisters, grand children and great grand child.
