Kaduna: Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Esu Chikun, Crowns Morrison As New Ezediohamma 1 of Chikun Chiefdom
http://www.newsportng.com.ng Ohanaeze Ndigbo Kaduna state in conjunction with Turbaned Igbo Council of Ndieze, has Turbaned Chief Morrison Ikpeamaeze as the new Ezediohamma 1 of Chikun Chiefdom, Kaduna state.
The coronation took place at the Esu Chikun palace, His Highness, Mr. Ishaku Yari on Thursday, in Kaduna with different council of elders from different walks of life present at the ceremony.
While appreciating God for the opportunity to witness the event, Mr. Yari remarked that, “it is a great opportunity from God to turban our brother today as the new Ezediohamma 1 of Chikun Chiefdom, Kaduna state.
“I want to advise you today to develop the culture of patience and perseverance. Leadership is a call to serve humanity against personal comfort and therefore I urged you to carry everybody along because there is no way you can succeed without people.” He said.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after the event, the outgoing Odum Igbo Ezeigbo I, Chikun Chiefdom HH Igwe Fred Awagu, said he is very happy to handle the baton of leadership to Morrison in his lifetime.
He added that he has passed through several hurdles, especially from oppositions who never wanted to see him succeed on the throne but God gave him the courage to overcome them all.
While soliciting for support from the Gbagyi Kingdom whom he described as his backbone over the years, Igwe Fred urged them and other Igbo sons and daughters who mean well for the association to give their full support to his successor, disclosing that Igbo people are the most difficult people to lead on earth.
On his path, the new Ezediohamma 1 of Chikun Chiefdom, Kaduna state, Chief Morrison Ikpeamaeze expressed gratitude to God and everyone who made the event a success.
Ikpeamaeze said his rulership will be tailored towards the unity and togetherness of the Igbo Community and urged them to give him the needed support so as to be able to win together as a team.
Before his corronation, Chief Morrison from Abia was the Vice chairman isialangwa south LGA Kaduna state branch, 2nd Vice President Abia state Indigenes’ Welfare Association Absiwa Kaduna, Chairman of All Kaduna State Labour Party Support Groups and State Coordinator for the Peter Obi movement for president, (POMP) in the 2023 general elections.
