NDIC reiterates commitment to customer service efficiency
http://www.newsportng.com.ng The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, (NDIC) has said that the Corporation will remained committed to offer succour to customers through efficient service delivery in the event of bank failure.
The Director of Communication and Public Affairs Department, NDIC Mallam Basheer Alhasan Nuhu made this known in Kaduna during the ground finale of the just concluded Kaduna Polo Club Tournament, said NDIC is there for the general public to pay them their money to the insured sum when the need arises.
The NDIC is a company that supervises Banks to protect depositors, ensure monetary stability, effective and efficient payment system as well as to promote competition and innovation in the banking system.
Speaking with Journalists shortly after the event, the Director expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of the 2023 Polo Tourney, adding that Polo is a very exciting game for the kings, yet the general public loves it.
He disclosed that “NDIC is a co-sponsors of the event. So our presence here is to inform the general public invariably the bank depositors that there is NDIC which gives them succour for their deposit in their bank account in the event of bank failure.
“Why we always partner with the Polo tournament is because there are exciting spectators so that we share our knowledge of deposit insurance with each other. It is a nice game. This year’s tournament has finished very well.” He said.
Remarking also, the Chairman of BBFA Polo Club Dawalu Baba, said the polo games was beyond their expectations especially the Georgian Cup played last week that produced Rubicon as winner, after defeating El-Amin in the final.
He said that they are now playing the Emir of Katsina cup, while noting that the Polo games did not take place last year because the pitch needed to undergo refurbishing, meanwhile it have been upgraded to global standard, a renovation that many players across the globe that participated in the tourney, including England, USA, Argentina, and others applauded.
In the same vein, the Public Relation Officer, (PRO) Dan Jarman Adamawa, Mallam Mustapha Taheer, said that Kaduna state is the heart beat of polo in Nigeria and so they are not surprised if they are playing the game accordingly and showing skills of professionalism.
He said that he was elated to be present at the concluding part of the games, stressing that It’s great seeing Kaduna Polo Club back to its good old days for the general public to enjoy.
