Christmas: Hon. Ekene splashes cash, food items to 863 Kaduna residents
http://www.newsportng.com.ng House Committee Chairman on sports and Member representing Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency, Kaduna under the platform of Labour Party, (LP) Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, has distributed food items and cash to eight hundred and sixty three (863) constituent members in Kaduna to mark the 2023 Christmas celebration.
The gesture according to him is aimed to support individuals across board regardless of political affiliation, religion and other differences to celebrate the Christmas season with their family, friends and loved ones without lack.
Ekene also stressed that the gesture is in line with his campaign promises to run an inclusive government where leaders and the people sit together to deliberate on issues of importance as panacea to bring sustainable growth and development to the people at the grassroots level.
The Lawmaker emphasized that his position as federal Reps Member is attributed to divine providence, not personal prowess and urged that people shun politics of bitterness and come together to form a formidable team to move the constituency and by extension Kaduna state to their desired destination.
“I am not a politician; my word is my bond. God granted me this position to serve, and I will continue to do so as long as I am alive,” Adams affirmed.
Touching on the forthcoming state House of Assembly election, Ekene expressed regret over the untimely demise of Honourable Madami Garba Madami, who represented Chikun Local Government Area at the state Assembly under the platform of people’s Democratic Party, (PDP)
He said that he envisioned collaboration with Madami before his demise despite their difference in political parties and ideology for the sake of peace and tolerance in the quest for a working system in the constituency, urged the people to choose candidate who embraces unity and not someone that will divide the people along religious and ethnic lines.
