Hon Ekene pays condolence visit to Tijjani over Son, younger brother’s death

Ekene Abubakar Adams has paid a condolence visit to President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria, (PFAN) and Super Eagles’ Atlanta 1996 Gold Medalist, Tijjani Babangida following the death of his one year old Son and younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida.
Tijjani Babangida, earlier this month was involved in a devastating car accident along the Kaduna-Zaria Road, claiming the life of his younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida, and thereafter that of his one year old Son who battled for life, several days in hospital.
Ekene who is the Member, representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Kaduna state met with Tijjani in Abuja at the weekend to condole the family shortly after his return from medical trip and prayed God to heal him of both psychological and physical injuries sustained from the accident.
Expressing dismay over the incidence, the Lawmaker stated that the tragic news came to him as a rude shock, affirming the truth that human beings are pilgrims here on earth, hence the need for everyone to live their life with eternity in view.
Stressing that the death of Babangida is a major loss to the entire people of Kaduna state, Ekene remarked that his consolation is on the ground that the deceased as a Faithful Muslim died serving God and will be resting in paradise, reiterating that the loss of a younger brother and Son is a huge loss.
Hon. Ekene said, “the death of Ibrahim Babangida is not just a loss to the Country but a major loss to us in Kaduna because himself and his brother Tijani have been very key to developing young talents and grassroot development in the state for many years.
“I am pained by this loss because death of younger brother is always a huge tragedy. Meanwhile, as men of faith, we must remember that life is temporal. We are here to serve our God and humanity and we leave this world not when we wish but as destined by God.
“As pilgrims here on earth, we should try to leave a good name to be remembered for when we are no more.
“They are now immortal while we are mortal. They will continue to be with you forever in spirit even though you cannot see them. God will continue to support and strengthen your spirit. I Pray God to console the family. From the dust we were created and to dust we shall return.
“May their soul continue to rest in peace and grant you and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
