SWAN Spreads Christmas Cheer, Urges Nigerians to Unite

In a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, SWAN President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, urged Nigerians to reflect on the true essence of Christmas, which is about sharing, love, and unity.
“A day like this should remind us of the essence of the celebration of Christmas. It’s a day to reflect and take stock with a view to find solace going forward,” President Benjamin said.
He emphasized the importance of sharing and rejoicing with others, regardless of tribe or religion, as exemplified by Jesus Christ’s teachings.
“Christmas is also a time of sharing with one another, no matter how small. We should endeavour to reach out to our neighbours, friends, loved ones, colleagues, and all strata of persons around us,” President Benjamin added.
The SWAN President also prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection for all SWAN members nationwide and globally.
With this message, SWAN joins millions of Nigerians and people around the world in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, spreading love, kindness, and unity.
