A Political Tribute to Comrade Senator Shehu Sani

http://www.newsportng.com.ng In the heart of Kaduna, a lion roared with a pen,
A comrade, a brother, the boldest of men.
He walked not with noise, but with truth in his palm,
A voice for the voiceless, a presence that calms.
He stood for the poor, a shield for the weak,
When silence prevailed, it was Shehu who’d speak.
Not for titles or tokens, but justice alone,
Where corruption thrived, he threw the first stone.
The political son of President Tinubu—resolute, proud,
A soldier of conscience who never bowed.
A lifetime brother to Governor Uba Sani in strife,
Both shaped by the furnace of Kaduna’s life.
My family knew him not by fame, but by heart,
When my late father asked, he played his part.
Chairing our sister’s sendforth with grace,
And mourning with us in our darkest place.
He graced my newsroom three times in a row,
To speak of Tinubu’s rise and Uba’s bold glow.
Not as a guest, but a brother in cause,
A patriot who fought without seeking applause.
2019 came with a test of fate,
Forced out, yet left with his dignity great.
And still, he hailed his friend’s Senate reign,
As Uba Sani broke records with passion and brain.
Today, Comrade Shehu walks not for applause,
But to strengthen democracy and its just cause.
He is proof that politics can still be clean.
That principles matter in a world so mean.
They say 2027 may call him again,
To serve, to speak, to ease the nation’s pain.
President Tinubu needs such men in the field,
With courage, with conscience, who never yield.
Comrade Shehu Sani—Kaduna’s moral flame,
A bridge-builder who never played the game.
History will remember not just what you said,
But the peace you built, the paths you led.
This is not a farewell, but a salute in full view—
To a Comrade who stayed true.
