http://www.newsportng.com.ng Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Northeast, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, have paid glowing tributes to Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, as he marked his 56th birthday.
Mustapha described Zulum as a rare example of leadership rooted in courage, sacrifice and compassion. He said despite leading one of the most troubled states in the country, the governor had remained steadfast in giving hope to his people.
“Rather than allow despair to define his people, he chose hope; rather than lament over ruins, he set out to rebuild; and rather than retreat to comfort, he daily risks personal convenience to stand in solidarity with the displaced and vulnerable,” Mustapha said.
He also pointed to the governor’s 25-Year Development Plan and 10-Year Strategic Framework as bold steps that have repositioned Borno on the path of recovery.
On his part, the APC Northeast Vice Chairman, Salihu, described Zulum as “the pride of the region,” noting that his efforts as Chairman of the Northeast Governors’ Forum had gone beyond Borno to strengthen unity and resilience across the six states.

“Through the implementation of the 25-Year Development Plan, you have shown that leadership is about building for tomorrow. Your humility and people-centred style of governance remain an inspiration within our party and to Nigerians at large,” he said.
Both leaders prayed for continued good health, wisdom and divine protection for Zulum as he continues to serve Borno, the Northeast and Nigeria.
