Kaduna: Bobai commends Tinubu’s endorsement of Uba Sani, says era of tyrannic governance gone

Victor Mathew Bobai, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State on Public Affairs, has commended Bola Tinubu for making what he described as a bold and reassuring statement in celebration of the birthday of Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, whom he hailed as a political leader, peace icon, and symbol of inclusive governance.
Bobai said the national endorsement by President Tinubu is a clear validation of the leadership excellence Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated since assuming office, noting that it has practically ended what he called the era of tyrannic and oppressive leadership associated with the administration of Nasir El-Rufai, which he said brought years of sorrow and pain to many citizens.
According to Bobai, Governor Uba Sani’s people-centered approach has redirected Kaduna State toward peace, stability, and sustainable development.
He listed massive investments in security architecture, rural infrastructure, agricultural enhancement, road construction, human capacity development, healthcare delivery, educational transformation, workers’ welfare and pensioners’ improvements, as well as expanded investment, business opportunities, transportation reforms, and social welfare packages.
“These deliberate policies are yielding visible fruits across Kaduna State,” Bobai said. “They have restored confidence, attracted investors, and earned the respect of Mr President, who publicly described Governor Uba Sani as his younger brother and an amiable leader governing with pride and dignity.”
Bobai called on citizens to give total support and cooperation to the Uba Sani administration, warning against political associations or platforms allegedly championed by El-Rufai and his allies. He described such groups as unhealthy and divisive, urging residents to remain focused on peace, unity, and development. “Kaduna has moved beyond politics of bitterness.
God has brought help to expose and eradicate the sponsors of tyrannic leadership in Nigeria,” he stated.
He made these remarks while speaking with journalists after the New Year Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Mahuta, near the NNPC Junction in Kaduna.
In his concluding remarks, Bobai urged citizens to actively participate in governance at the ward level, revealing that Governor Uba Sani’s 2026 Budget makes a historic provision of ₦100 million for each of Kaduna State’s 255 wards.
He explained that the funds are to be directly determined and utilized by ward communities for grassroots development, marking the first time Kaduna State is institutionalizing direct citizen engagement at that scale.
“This is participatory governance in action,” Bobai said. “We must own it, protect it, and make it succeed. We shall continue to pray for Governor Uba Sani’s leadership and for sustained peace and progress in Kaduna State.”
