Inclusive Governance: Romi Community Hails Kaduna Governor, Seeks Solidarity Visit

The Romi community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State has applauded Governor Uba Sani for what they described as his inclusive style of governance, noting that the administration has demonstrated fairness to all ethnic and religious groups in the state.
The commendation followed the recent award of contract and flag-off of the abandoned Romi-Karatudu road project by the Governor.
In a statement issued in Kaduna and signed by the Chairman of the Romi Community, Mallam Yakubu Ali, who is also the Garkuwan Lusawa Romi, the leaders expressed satisfaction with the developmental strides of Governor Uba Sani, particularly in rural transformation through road and bridge construction.
According to the statement, the resumption of work on the Romi-Karatudu road is a landmark achievement that would remain indelible in the history of the area.
It recalled that the project was first initiated under the administration of the late Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa but was abandoned after his demise until Governor Sani’s intervention.
The leaders noted that the reconstruction of the road and major bridges linking the two communities is a demonstration of Governor Sani’s commitment to equitable development across the state.
They also lauded the administration’s efforts in fostering peace and harmonious coexistence, stressing that the Governor’s Sustain Agenda has brought a renewed sense of tranquility and stability to Kaduna State.
While pledging their continued support, the Romi community leaders appealed to Governor Sani to grant them a solidarity visit, where members of the community would express their appreciation and formally endorse his continuity in office beyond 2027.
