Northern CAN Felicitates Muslims on Ramadan, Calls for Unity

http://www.newsportng.com.ng  Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Rev. Joseph Hayab, has extended warm Ramadan greetings to the Muslim faithful, urging them to use the holy month to foster unity and national development.

In a goodwill message, Hayab described Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection, devotion, and an opportunity to strengthen community bonds.

 

He prayed for peace, joy, and divine blessings for all Muslims and their families during the sacred season.

“As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I, on behalf of Christians in the 19 Northern states and the FCT, wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters a month filled with peace, joy, and spiritual growth.

 

May your fasts be accepted, your prayers answered, and your hearts filled with gratitude for the blessings in your lives,” he said.

The cleric emphasized the importance of interfaith unity, calling on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of giving, compassion, and mutual support.

 

He also urged the government to address the pressing issues of insecurity, hunger, and hardship affecting citizens.

“May we use this fasting season to strengthen our unity for nation-building through constructive and honest interfaith dialogue,” he added.

While praying for divine intervention in the affairs of the nation, he wished all Muslims a blessed Ramadan, full of tranquility and divine favor.

“May the blessings of God come upon our citizens and all leaders as we fast and pray. Ramadan Kareem,” Hayab concluded.
