Hope Builders Foundation Holds 2023 Festival, Graduates Ist Batch Of MBA Students
http://www.newsportng.com.ng Hope Builders Foundation for Entrepreneurial Education, (HBFEE) has graduated their first batch students of the Master of Business Administration, (MBA) in Kaduna state, on Wednesday.
The program also feature the 2023 Hope Builders Festival, with dignitaries cut across different expertise of endeavor present, serving as live coach to young people.
The Executive Director, Hope Builders Foundation For Entrepreneurial Education, Rev. Mathias Yashim, while presenting the certificate to the students said, they have gone through rigorous trainings and are set to impact their world.
According to Mathias, the MBA program runs through the period of six to twelve months, adding that the students were admitted across various lines of interest haven met the screening requirements for the professional course.
He noted that the foundation is partnering government agencies like the Industrial Training Fund, (ITF) National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) including Labour and Productivity, who would in turn offer the students certificate upon successful completion of the program so they can have something that is heavy and unique with them.
Mathias, equally stressed that the MBA program is purely a professional program for people who are doing good, giving out solution to challenges of humanity, and solving problems of the society and they go through classes Within the space of six to twelve months and then go out with MBA professionals in their chosen field.
“It’s such a special program because these people are working. Before you are admitted here, it is expected that you have a project or venture that is legal, a website that we can see and verify your claims, it is expected that we can track you on social media handles to ensure you are truly doing what you claim, and then you come in here with the mindset to accelerate and to expand that venture and thereafter, we work with you based on your purpose and ambition.
“Our major assignment is to ensure that you know what you want to achieve, what will it take you to expand and after that, we hold you by the hand and work with you to ensure that you achieve that thing and making it global, that is when we now see that you are ready to graduate.
“So coming in here again, it’s not an academic program where people compete but here, we compliment ourselves. We help, guide and support ourselves. So it’s a ‘we-win’ thing because everybody is a master in his own field. All that we do is the principle of acceleration and we give it out to them.
“On the fees, yes we know that the program is a little bit expensive but we also gives out scholarship to all our students up to 85% of the complete school fees. Some gets up to 90% and some gets up to 95% all that we have in mind is that money should not stop anyone from expanding his or her own venture.
Remarking also at the event, the Country Director, Global Peace Foundation Nigeria, (GPFN) Rev. John Joseph Hayab, expressed the need for government at all levels to be deliberate in the area of providing enabling environment for the skills acquisition rather than giving palliatives.
The Country Director, noted that until the issue of ignorance and poverty is addressed in the country, achieving lasting peace is not tenable even as majority of people are living in abject poverty.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the program, one of the MBA graduates, Blessing Eko Sunday, Founder, Eko Smile Support and Empowerment initiative, said “I am so excited because it’s really an opportunity I have been longing for a very long time and I thank God today God has helped us and we are done for now.
- “The program has actually opened my eyes on how to network, partner, how to expand and sustain my organization because we have been taught these skills on how to network and ensure that we sustain our venture to make possible impacts in the society
“All the graduates, we have a network that we work together as a team so it’s not just about the knowledge but then the practical application of what we have been taught
Another MBA graduate of the Academy, Founder and Executive Director Sport-DeChild Mr. Courage Simeon Agbiti said, “I look forward to introduce Sport-DeChild to Kaduna come next year, this is one thing about the enterprise academy and of course we are practical in our approach.
“The program has helped him set up my own website, my own team that is dedicated and also working to ensure that the project continue. We were also taught on accelerating our business for expansion so one of the things I do is to seek partnership with other organizations that would help me expand the Sport-DeChild to other communities.” Courage added.
